The World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting returns to Davos this week, bringing together the world’s most powerful political leaders, top CEOs, tech pioneers and civil society voices at a time of vast global uncertainty. From wars and trade tensions to AI, climate and economic growth, Davos 2026 promises five days of high-stakes conversations that will be watched closely across the globe.

This year’s meeting runs from January 19 to January 23, 2026, under the theme “A Spirit of Dialogue”, and one of the most closely followed moments will be US President Donald Trump’s special address, scheduled for Wednesday, January 21.

When to watch Trump’s speech in India

According to the official WEF programme, President Trump’s session is listed for mid-afternoon in Switzerland. In Davos (CET), the address is scheduled from 2:30 PM to 3:15 PM.

For viewers in India, that means 7:00 PM to 7:45 PM IST on Wednesday. As with all Davos sessions, timings can shift slightly due to scheduling changes, but this is the official window.

Where to watch the World Economic Forum live

President Trump’s speech, along with other major Davos sessions, will be livestreamed and available for replay across multiple platforms. The World Economic Forum’s official website will carry high-definition streams directly from the Congress Centre in Davos. The WEF YouTube channel is also expected to stream the address live, as it does for major heads of state.

Viewers can also follow real-time updates, clips and key quotes on social media using the hashtag #WEF26, especially on X (formerly Twitter) and LinkedIn.

More than 200 sessions from Davos 2026 are being livestreamed, making the event accessible far beyond Switzerland. The World Economic Forum is sharing interviews, explainers, quotes, videos, podcasts and photo coverage across its digital platforms throughout the week.

Donald Trump’s Davos address: Why it’s being watched closely

US President Donald Trump is set to deliver a special address at the World Economic Forum on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. This marks his third appearance at Davos as President and comes on the one-year anniversary of his second inauguration. He is leading the largest-ever US delegation to the event.

Global markets, diplomats and political leaders will be watching closely, especially given the current geopolitical climate and Trump’s recent statements on trade and tariffs.

Who else is coming to Davos 2026

The scale of Davos 2026 is massive. Close to 3,000 leaders from over 130 countries are taking part. This includes around 400 top political leaders, nearly 65 heads of state and government, and six leaders from the G7.

Among the political heavyweights attending are leaders from the US, Canada, Germany, India, the European Commission, China, Argentina, Indonesia, Spain, Ukraine, Israel, Pakistan, Singapore and many more.

Heads of major global organisations are also present, including leaders from the World Bank, IMF, World Trade Organisation, NATO, WHO, OECD and the UN system.

Some of the biggest names in technology and AI include Jensen Huang of NVIDIA, Satya Nadella of Microsoft, Demis Hassabis of Google DeepMind, Dario Amodei of Anthropic, and senior leaders from OpenAI, Meta and Palantir.
