Financial Express Online on Tuesday organised the second edition of the FE Healthcare Awards. The FE Healthcare Awards 2024 was held in Shangri-La Eros, New Delhi. The event was marked by the presence of over 100 eminent industry leaders and health experts.
Along with the award ceremony, the event had interesting panel discussions on ‘Healthcare landscape change, the new imperatives and the road ahead’ and ‘Indian healthcare – Catalyzing the next wave of growth’.
The FE Healthcare Awards 2024 kickstarted with a welcome note by Roshun Povaiah, Editor, Financial Express-Digital.

The Welcome address was followed by a panel discussion on ‘Healthcare landscape change, the new imperatives and the road ahead’.
The panel discussion included experts like Dr. Atul Mohan Kochhar, CEO, NABH, Dr. K Madan Gopal, Advisor, National Health Systems Resource Center, MoHFW, GoI, Dr. Shirshendu Mukherjee, Mission Director, Grand Challenges India, BIRAC (Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council), Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology.

The panel discussion was moderated by E Kumar Sharma, Deputy Editor, Financial Express – Digital.
During the session, Dr. Kochhar said that the future pandemic is a reality. Meanwhile, Dr. Gopal said that addressing issues like Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) should be a priority. He also said that there is a need to focus on data and research.
Meanwhile, Dr. Mukherjee said that innovation is a critical angle in healthcare delivery.
The second panel focused on ‘Indian healthcare – Catalyzing the next wave of growth’. The session included experts like Dr. Rashmi Sharma, Founder and Director of Origyn Fertility & IVF, Prof. Anupam Sibal, Group Medical Director, Apollo Hospitals Group and Anant Kharad, Vice President, TH Healthcare & Life Sciences.

The panel discussion was moderated by Roshun Povaiah, Editor, Financial Express – Digital.
During the session, Anant Kharad pointed out that there is still a lot that needs to be done to digitise the healthcare sector and it will be a game-changer. Meanwhile, Dr. Sibal highlighted that India is going to be the preferred destination for medical facilities soon. Dr. Sharma revealed that there is a lot that needs to be done to improve access to women’ healthcare facilities.
The panel discussions were followed by the award ceremony. More than 100 nominations were received out of which 64 hospitals and leaders were chosen by the jury. 9 awardees got ‘GOLD’; 37 awardees got ‘SILVER’ and 18 awardees got ‘BRONZE’.
Cloudnine Group of Hospitals (Kids Clinic India Ltd), Sankara Eye Foundation India, BLK-MAX Super Speciality Hospital, Kovai Medical Center and Hospital and Metropolis Healthcare Limited were some of the ‘GOLD’ winners.
