Reliance Capital Limited has reported a net profit of Rs 151 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009, against Rs 343.1 crore in the corresponding period, down 56%. Total income stood at Rs 1,469.2 crore compared with against Rs 1,514.4 crore in the corresponding period, a marginal decrease of 3%. Decrease in total income and profits were due to planned lower contribution from finance and investments, while the core businesses of asset management, insurance and consumer finance maintained steady revenue flows.
MTNL net down 58%
Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) on Friday registered de-growth of 58% in its net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2009 to Rs 46.83 crore, against Rs 112.53 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue also declined by 21% to Rs 955.47 crore.
Nagarjuna net at Rs 38 cr
Nagarjuna Construction Company Ltd (NCCL) has achieved a turnover of Rs 1002.41 crore (standalone) for the first quarter of 2009-10 as against Rs 972 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The company has reported a net profit of Rs 38.22 crore as against Rs 37.09 crore in the year-ago period.
Spice net at Rs 8.6 cr
Cell phone manufacturer Spice Mobiles on Friday said its net profit stood at Rs 8.6 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009, against a net loss of Rs 0.5 crore in the same period last year. Total income rose to Rs 18.24 crore in the latest quarter against Rs 12.77 crore in the same period last fiscal.
ABB India net declines
ABB India has registered a 37% decline in net profit for the second quarter ended June 2009 at Rs 83.6 crore from Rs 131.8 crore during the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal. Total revenue was down 7% year-on-year to Rs 1,525.9 crore.
Edelweiss Cap net dips
Edelweiss Capital?s its consolidated net profit declined 8.67% to Rs 58.25 crore for the quarter ended June 2009 over the same period last year. Total income declined to Rs 224.60 crore in the latest quarter against Rs 268.93 crore in the previous fiscal.
KEC profit up
KEC International’s net profit increased to Rs 38.2 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009, from Rs 25.5 crore in the year-ago period, a rise of 49.80%. Net sales went up by 21.06% to Rs 726.4 crore from Rs 600 crore. Its order book as on June 30 was Rs 5,155 crore.
Kalpataru Power net up
Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd has reported a hike of 10% in PAT, amounting to Rs 32 crore for the first quarter ended June 2009. Revenue for the quarter increased by 2.5% to Rs 485 crore.
Whirlpool profit rises
Consumer durables major Whirlpool has reported an increase of 3.7% in its net profit at Rs 46.2 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009, as against Rs 44.6 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2008-09. Total income for the quarter went up by 13.1% at Rs 623 crore vis-?-vis Rs 551 crore in the year-ago period.
Orchid Chem sales up
Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Limited has informed the stock exchanges that net sales increased to Rs 305.81 crore for quarter ended June 30, 2009, as against Rs 287.65 crore during the same quarter last fiscal.
Arshiya revenues up
Arshiya International Ltd, a supply chain and logistics infrastructure solutions company, has reported a consolidated total revenue of Rs 100.67 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2009, an increase of 5.2%.
Aurobindo PAT soars
Aurobindo Pharma has reported a 25% increase in consolidated total operating income to to Rs 852.8 crore (Rs 683.2 crore).
