In an explosive remark, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray has claimed that fugitive mafia don and Mumbai serial blast main accused Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar wants to return to India and is currently negotiating a settlement with the PM Narendra Modi led NDA-led government at the Centre, according to IANS. Raj has made this remark on his sensational debut on Facebook. He said that Dawood is now very sick and wanted to come to India and breathe his last here, as per IANS.
During the launch of his official Facebook page, Thackeray said, “He (Dawood) is currently engaged in a setting with the government for this.” He also predicted that the BJP will score a political point by claiming that they brought the absconder don to India. “It is he (Dawood) who is keen to return… But, the BJP will claim credit for this to win the next elections,” Thackeray said as per IANS.
Ibrahim is the main accused in the 1993 serial bomb blasts case in Mumbai in which around 260 people were killed, and more than 700 were injured, as per PTI.
Earlier, former Union Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi had said Dawood Ibrahim is in Pakistan and that country is creating hurdles in getting him back to India to face the law here. he government is taking all required action so that Ibrahim could be brought back to India. “Dawood Ibrahim is in Pakistan. That country has given him shelter. That country is also putting hurdles in bringing him back to India to face the law,” he told PTI.
