Farah Khan has been giving us a sneak-peak into celebrity homes, giving a glimpse of how B-town celebs live. After showing the houses of Manish Malhotra and Farhan Akhtar, she visited a very different space. In her latest video, Farah gave a tour of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s Delhi home.

Unlike many celebrity homes, Gadkari’s house does not follow modern or minimal trends. Instead, it reflects a traditional Indian style. The home looks calm, simple and rooted in Indian culture.

The house is a Lutyens-style bungalow with high ceilings, wide corridors and open spaces. These features make the home feel spacious and airy. The design has an old-world charm, while Indian decor elements add warmth and character.

Simple and traditional interiors

The interiors of Nitin Gadkari’s home follow a classic Indian look. Wood is used throughout the house and is the main feature of the design. Dark wooden panelling on the walls gives the rooms a warm and rich feel.

The living area has a wooden sofa set with deep blue cushions. The colour works well with the wooden furniture and adds a nice contrast. Tall wooden bookshelves filled with books add to the simple and serious feel of the space.

Several wooden tables and cabinets are placed around the house. These hold small artefacts, sculptures and souvenirs. Each item seems carefully chosen and placed.

Warm lighting and decor

The lighting in the house is soft and warm. Wall lights and chandeliers give off a gentle glow that suits the wooden interiors. This makes the home feel comfortable and welcoming.

The hallways have Indian folk art on the walls, including Madhubani and Tanjore paintings. These artworks add colour and show the home’s strong cultural touch.

Metal idols and sculptures are placed on side tables. One table has a wooden model of a ship, while another has a bronze statue of Lord Krishna playing the flute. There is also a cupboard filled with souvenirs, each with its own story.

Nitin Gadkari’s home has a simple and traditional Indian look. It reflects culture and heritage and though modern furniture and latest trends are ‘in’ these days, Nitin Gadkari’s house does not follow changing design trends.
