O’Romeo advance booking collection: Shahid Kapoor took a decade to transform into the Kabir Singh macho from an early 2000s heartthrob. And with his latest, O’Romeo, hitting the theatres on Friday, February 13, fans cannot wait for Kapoor’s comeback. Returning as a tattooed underworld don, Shahid Kapoor’s morally gray character has sent a chill among fans.

Last seen in Deva (2025), Shahid Kapoor’s O’Romeo needs a 130 per cent push to match up, reported Sacnilk. Also starring Tripti Dimri, O’Romeo marks the comeback of the Vishal Bharadwaj pairing with the Haider star. All set for a grand release tomorrow, the Rs 75-80 crore film, as per Filmibeat, is based on the real-life stories of gangsters Husaain Ustara and his rivalry with Dawood Ibrahim.

O’Romeo day 1 advance collections

As per the industry tracker’s early estimates, O’Romeo picked up momentum after collecting Rs 1.43 crore when the advance bookings opened. On day 2, Sacnilk reported a Rs 3.3 crore advance collection for the Shahid Kapoor-Tripti Dimri starer.

Maharashtra, Delhi NCR, Gujarat, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal have showered much love for O’Romeo. Audiences are set to flock to the theatres in large numbers as the Shahid Kapoor-Tripti Dimri, and Nana Patekar starrer takes the weekend box office by storm.

Based on Husaain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai, Shahid Kapoor plays the uncanny gangster with a crime-filled backdrop. Mixed with an intense love story, O’Romeo is bare emotions representation of seasoned actors like Nana Patekar, Vikrant Massey, Disha Patani, Tamannaah, and Avinash Tiwary.

O’Romeo: Cast salary

Made with a budget of nearly Rs 80 crore, Filmibeat reported that Shahid Kapoor was the highest-paid cast member on set, with a paycheck rumoured to be as high as Rs 40 crore. Avinash Tiwary, credited for his role as Jalal, earned Rs 7 crore, while Tripti Dimri earned Rs 6 crore.

Disha Patani, who appears as Julie the dancer, gained Rs 2 crore, while veteran actor Nana Patekar charged Rs 4 crore. Aiming for a box office success, O’Romeo is on its way to become a Rs 100 crore starrer.
