Delhi: Gym owner shot dead by two bike-borne assailants in Greater Kailash

A 35-year-old man was shot dead by two bike-borne assailants in South Delhi’s Greater Kailash area outside his gym on Thursday night, police said.

The incident took place at 10.38 pm and a PCR call was made shortly thereafter.

Upon arrival at the scene, the police discovered bullet projectiles and empty cartridges. Subsequent investigations identified the deceased as Nadir Shah, a resident of CR Park, who had sustained gunshot wounds.

“The attackers came on a two-wheeler, fired on him and ran away. He was immediately rushed to the hospital by his friends but was declared dead,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), Ankit Chauhan, told PTI.

Shah previously operated a gym on a partnership basis. Investigations are ongoing from all possible angles, he added. The police have not ruled out the possibility of a gang-related incident.
