Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) reported a 45% year-on-year increase in December 2025. The brand managed to clock 4,46,048 units  driven by robust demand in both domestic and export markets.

Domestic sales accounted for 3,92,306 units during the month, while exports stood at 53,742 units, the Gurugram-based two-wheeler maker said. The company attributed the sharp growth to sustained customer demand and its focus on accessible mobility solutions across price segments.

For the year-to-date period from April to December 2025 (FY26), HMSI recorded cumulative sales of 46,78,814 units, up 3% year-on-year. Domestic volumes during the period reached 42,04,420 units, while exports totalled 4,74,394 units.

Company expanded its retail footprint

On the retail network front, the company expanded its footprint by opening new authorised dealerships in Auraiya, Bengaluru, Delhi and Jhargram. HMSI said the new outlets are staffed with specially trained sales and service personnel to enhance customer experience and after-sales support.

The statement also highlights HMSI efforts for road safety outreach during December. The company conducted nationwide awareness programmes across 13 cities, including New Delhi, Jaipur, Solapur, Meerut, Bhopal, Ranchi, Rajkot, Goa, Calicut, Rajahmundry, Ludhiana, Samastipur and Hassan. The initiatives focused on promoting responsible riding practices and strengthening community engagement. HMSI also organised a Road Safety Convention in Raipur, working with educators to integrate safe riding habits into youth education programmes.
