Suzlon Energy Ltd (SEL) has reported a profit after tax of Rs 20 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007, a drop of 79% compared to Rs 96 crore in the corresponding quarter in the last fiscal. The company reported a 62% increase in volumes and 82% growth in total consolidated revenues to Rs 1,945 crore over corresponding quarter of the previous year.
ABB India net up 51%
ABB India has reported a 51% jump in net profit for the second quarter ended June 30 at Rs 108.6 crore. Revenues for the quarter grew 43.06% to Rs 1,415.62 crore. The company reported a net profit of Rs 71.90 crore and total income of Rs 989.51 crore in April-June quarter year ago. Net profit for the first half was up 59% at Rs 195.2 crore and revenues rose 52% at Rs 2,743.2 crore.
Tata Power Q1 net rises
Tata Power, the country?s largest private sector power company, reported a 56% net profit increase at Rs 190.20 crore in the first quarter ending June, 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 121.85 crore over the corresponding quarter in the previous year. Revenue was up 10 % to Rs 1,511.48 crore as against Rs 1,368.41 crore during the same time.
MRF Q3 net zooms
MRF Ltd has reported a sharp growth in its net profit to Rs 42.50 crore for the third quarter ended June 30, 2007 as against Rs 8.17 crore during the same quarter last year. The net sales too witnessed a sharp growth to Rs 1,133.43 crore as compared to Rs 994.77 crore, company said on Thursday.
Patni net income up 99%
Patni Computer Systems Ltd on Thursday announced that the company has posted a growth of 98.9% in its net income to Rs 134.75 crore for the second quarter ended June 2007 compared to Rs 76.6 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Company’s revenue for the Q2 was also up 14.2% at Rs 662.8 crore against Rs 656 crore last-year.
GSK Q2 net up
GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 96.43 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007 where as the same was at Rs 91.06 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006. Total income (net of excise) for the second quarter is Rs 426.82 crore against Rs 425.65 crore.
JK Lakshmi Cement net up
JK Lakshmi cement on Thursday announced that the company has posted a growth of 76% in its net profit to Rs 68 crore for the quarter ended June 2007 against Rs 39 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Company’s turnover for the quarter was up 43% to Rs 312 crore from Rs 218 crore last-year.
Clariant Chemicals net dips
Clariant Chemicals (India) Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 14.55 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2007, as against Rs 15.19 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. Its net sales for the quarter amounted to Rs 231.6 crore against Rs 229.4 crore for the corresponding period of the previous year.
Matrix Lab net at Rs 26 cr
Matrix Laboratories Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 25.79 crore on net sales of Rs 206.1 crore during the quarter ended June 30, 2007. Last year during the same period, net profit was Rs 28.97 crore on sales of Rs 193.06 crore.
ABG Shipyard Q1 net up
ABG Shipyard Ltd reported a 24.2 % increase in its net profit at Rs 33.40 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2007 as compared to Rs 26.93 crore during the same period last year.
Punjab Tractors PAT dips
Punjab Tractors Ltd has posted a 81.35% dip in (PAT) for the first quarter ending, June 30, 2007.The company’s PAT for the Q1 this year stood at Rs 3.30 crore as against Rs 17.70 registered for the same period last year.
