Information technology (IT) majors Wipro, Tech Mahindra, and L&T Technology Services on Wednesday announced strategic partnerships with chipmaker Nvidia to develop cutting-edge AI solutions for various industries. These collaborations, unveiled at Nvidia’s ongoing annual GPU Technology Conference (GTC) in California, promise to transform sectors ranging from healthcare and public services to rail safety.
Tech Mahindra has introduced an AI-powered pharmacovigilance (PV) solution designed to enhance drug safety management. By leveraging Nvidia AI software, the solution automates key PV processes, reducing human intervention and improving efficiency. The integration of Nvidia AI enterprise tools, including NeMo, NIM microservices, and AI blueprints, allows for real-time case intake, data transformation, quality control, and compliance.
The AI-driven PV system accelerates decision-making by prioritising and processing requests instantly, cutting turnaround times by 40%, improving data accuracy by 30%, and lowering operational costs by 25%. Nikhil Malhotra, chief innovation officer & global head of AI and emerging technologies at Tech Mahindra, stressed the significance of AI in managing large volumes of pharmaceutical data during clinical trials and post-market monitoring.
Wipro has unveiled its Agentic AI services, designed to help nations harness their infrastructure, workforce, and data to develop tailored AI capabilities. The solution integrates Wipro’s WeGA Studio with Nvidia AI Enterprise software, creating an AI-powered ecosystem for applications in banking, healthcare, emergency response, and education.
This AI ecosystem aims to drive public sector innovation while ensuring compliance with data security and sovereignty concerns. Wipro’s solution also includes pre-built AI accelerators that allow organisations to quickly deploy high-performance AI models aligned with their objectives. Nagendra Bandaru, president and managing partner of Wipro Technology Services, highlighted the growing demand for AI solutions that are not only powerful but also ethical and transparent.
L&T Technology Services (LTTS) introduced TrackEi, an AI-based railway track inspection system. Built on Nvidia’s Jetson platform, TrackEi offers real-time defect detection and predictive maintenance, significantly improving rail safety. Traditional inspection methods rely on manual assessments or slow-moving trolleys, which can miss critical defects. TrackEi automates high-speed inspections at over 60 miles per hour using high-resolution cameras and laser profiling to identify structural issues such as cracks, broken rails, and track misalignments.
The TrackEi solution will be showcased at the ongoing conference, which started on March 17 and will continue till March 21. This premier event highlights the latest advancements in AI and accelerated computing, featuring keynotes, workshops, and exhibits that demonstrate real-world applications of Nvidia technologies across industries.
Through these collaborations, Wipro, TechM and LTTS are positioning themselves at the forefront of AI-driven innovation, leveraging Nvidia’s expertise to deliver transformative solutions that enhance efficiency, safety, and public services worldwide.
