Tech Mahindra has announced a strategic AI-led collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies. This partnership involves integration of the company’s proprietary AI model, IndusQ LLM, into the Qualcomm AI Hub, a platform dedicated to on-device AI model deployment.

IndusQ is a specialised version of Indus, configured to work seamlessly with Qualcomm’s technologies. This achievement makes Tech Mahindra the only Global System Integrator (GSI) to complete this integration, the company said.

The partnership aims to provide scalable AI solutions for enterprises globally, making AI more accessible and offering developers enterprise-ready solutions that facilitate real-time insights, automation, and decision-making at the edge. It also enhances on-device computing capabilities, supporting new use cases across different network conditions. For developers, the model’s direct integration on the device allows for faster deployment and more efficient application scaling, removing the need for complex setups.

Nikhil Malhotra, chief innovation officer & global head of AI and Emerging Technologies at Tech Mahindra, said, “With AI research at its drive, many R&D organisations are working to bring AI to the edge, ensuring that low computing and low carbon facets are catered to. Our collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies addresses this by developing AI-powered use cases, helping businesses tap into advanced AI capabilities to enhance operational efficiency, automation, and customer experience at the edge.”

Tech Mahindra’s AI model incorporates Hindi and its 37 dialects, enabling businesses to offer tailored solutions for various markets, overcoming language barriers and ensuring AI accessibility in multilingual regions such as India.
