In a humorous post on X (formerly Twitter), Siddharth Bhatia, co-founder and CEO of AI startup Puch AI, announced an unsolicited $50 billion bid to acquire Perplexity AI and Google Chrome. Bhatia pointed out that the audacious proposal is coming from a company valued at just $50 million. He added that anyone interested in joining the deal could reach out via email at perplexity@puch.ai.

“Hey Aravind, here’s a $50B unsolicited offer to acquire you and Google Chrome (once you’ve acquired it). Yes, a $50M company is making this offer. If anyone wants in on the deal, email perplexity@puch.ai First to convince @AravSrinivas to sell wins an iPhone,” he noted a tweet.

The bid was made at the same time that Google is awaiting a court decision in the wake of the historic ruling last year that found the company in violation of U.S. antitrust laws for its search practices.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Bhatia revealed that his company is seeking two interns: one to work as an AI Engineer and the other as a “Growth Magician.” The internship does not require a university degree. Bhatia even mentioned that a high school student was recently hired by the company.

“We welcomed a high schooler to the team last month,” he said, emphasising that skill and passion are more important than conventional credentials.

Additionally, Bhatia implemented a referral bonus whereby anyone who tags a qualified applicant could win an iPhone in the event that the candidate is hired. “Know someone ideal for the role? Tag them. If they join us, you get an iPhone! (One tag per comment),” the post stated.

The announcement has already stirred significant interest, with Bhatia’s replies overflowing with eager applicants highlighting their skills, aspirations, and excitement for the opportunity.
