Priyadarshan’s Bhooth Bangla has been pushed to a later date in a bid to avoid clashing with the second part of Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar, releasing on March 19.

Dhurandhar wave continues as the film grosses Rs 800 crore in India, inching towards Rs 1300 crore worldwide, more than a month after its release. However, the film’s prolonged success wave has translated to subdued interest in December and January movie releases.

From Ikkis, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri to Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, big movie releases have vanished without trace, courtesy Ranveer Singh and Akshaye-Khanna starrer’s tremendous success.

Learning from the fate of these big banner movies, many filmmakers are now carefully planning theatrical release of their movies, to avoid clash with Dhurandhar 2. There have been reports that Ajay Devgn is planning to delay Dhamaal 4 release by a month and the film will now release in May instead of its original Eid 2026 theatrical release. However, there has been no formal announcement yet.
