Navya Naveli Nanda, the granddaughter of Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, has embarked on a new academic journey at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad. She has secured admission into the Blended Post Graduate Programme for MBA, a two-year course.

A Dream Achieved

Expressing her excitement, Navya took to Instagram to share her joyous milestone. She posted multiple pictures from the IIM Ahmedabad campus, celebrating her admission with a caption that read, “Dreams do come true!!!!!! Excited for the next 2 years with the best people & faculty! Blended Post Graduate Programme (BPGP) Class of 2026.”

Campus and Celebration

Among the images shared by Navya was one featuring her in a black suit, alongside picturesque views of the IIM Ahmedabad campus and her new friends. She also posted an Instagram Story cutting a cake, expressing gratitude to her teacher Prasad for helping her succeed in the CAT/IAT, the renowned MBA entrance exam in India.

Beyond Bollywood: Entrepreneurship and Advocacy

Despite coming from a family rooted in Bollywood, Navya has carved her own path. In 2021, she founded Project Naveli, dedicated to tackling gender inequality in India. Additionally, Navya hosts the podcast “What The Hell Navya,” where she engages with her mother Shweta Bachchan, and grandmother Jaya Bachchan on topics centered around feminism and women’s roles in society.

A Different Path

Navya’s mother, Shweta Bachchan, has clarified that Navya is not keen on pursuing acting like her illustrious relatives including Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. At an event in June, Shweta emphasized, “I think you are very well acquainted with the work Navya does and she has her hands full. I don’t think Bollywood is the way to go for her.”
