Bollywood actors have some of the most innovative and beautiful homes in India and actor Abhay Deol’s home in Goa certainly ranks high on a list somewhere. A member of the Deol family, the actor certainly has a taste for the finer things in life with a Rs 400 crore net worth as per reports by Lifestyle Asia and Medium.

In an interview with Hollywood Reporter India, the actor opened up the doors to his eco-friendly Goa ‘glass’ house – a unique abode which the actor has painstakingly decorated and designed himself. Here’s a virtual tour of Abhay Deol’s stunning Assegao, Goa property.

Sound bowls, glass walls and amethyst clusters

A serene retreat from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai, the home is both quaint and modern at the same time. It is located in the village of Assegao, in North Goa where colonial villas and churches line the streets and lush greenery is abundant. The outer structure is made entirely out of glass and has thus been touted as ‘a glass house in the middle of the forest’. It has no windows and even the doors are made of glass.

Deol purchased the massive property around 15 years ago according to NDTV and had been frequenting it close to 20 years according to Elle India. The home features a simplistic palette with black granite flooring, dark wood and natural textured walls. This in turn helps the unique and vibrant interiors – curated by Deol himself – pop against the neutral background. Featuring extremely high ceilings and an open layout – the home is spacious and airy.

The living room is simultaneously artsy and spiritual – A DJ rig is set up in a corner where the actor can experiment with beats when he is feeling inspired. Empty canvases line the walls for when Deol feels like creating alongside commissioned pieces from artists like Shilo Shiv Suleman. Amethyst stones have been placed in well-planned corners and sound bowls sit on tables for when Deol wants to meditate. Below the wooden staircase which leads up to another floor, the actor has hung yoga ropes for when he partakes in the activity.

Abhay Deol’s unconventional career path

Abhay Deol famously prioritized critical acclaim and unconventional roles in films like Dev D and Shanghai over chasing mainstream Bollywood commercial success, yet his net worth is reported to be an impressive Rs 300 to Rs 400 crore.

This immense wealth was not built on box office hits but on shrewd entrepreneurial ventures and investments. The primary driver of his fortune is the success of his co-founded restaurant chain, The Fatty Cow, which provides a stable, high-profit income stream outside of cinema.

Furthermore, his production company, Forbidden Films, ensures he earns backend revenue from his curated projects, including OTT releases. These non-film businesses, combined with a continuously appreciating real estate portfolio (including his notable property in Goa), are the true pillars of his financial standing, proving that he found immense wealth through business acumen rather than traditional stardom.
