Rural omnichannel retail startup Rozana has raised $31.5 million in a Series B funding round led by Bertelsmann India Investments (BII), with participation from Fireside Ventures, US-based Spark Growth Ventures, Bikaji Family Office, FE Securities and other family offices.

The company operates a hybrid commerce model combining a consumer-facing app with over 75 physical retail experience centres and an owned distribution network across 21,000 villages in Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. Its product range spans FMCG, groceries, home essentials, footwear, beauty and personal care, and general merchandise.

The fresh capital will be used to expand to over 200 stores, enter 2–3 additional northern states, strengthen its technology infrastructure, develop private label offerings and deepen brand partnerships. The company’s longer-term target is to reach 130,000 villages.

Founded in 2021 out of Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh, Rozana has raised around $26 million across funding rounds to date.

Rozana said its revenue has grown 4x since its previous funding round. It reported a revenue of Rs 272.6 crore in FY25, up 27% year-on-year, though net losses widened sharply to Rs 79.4 crore from Rs 44.3 crore in FY24.
