RoadCast, an automotive technology-based platform, has unveiled a solution to combat double parking during the festive season in India.
According to an official release, the consumer can download the application, generate their own QR code, and affix it to their vehicle. From what it’s understood, this step will allow people to scan this QR code on one’s vehicle and get in touch with that person if they are inconvenienced by their parked car. Similarly, one can also scan the QR code on the other person’s vehicle in case they face the same concern. It’s believed that one of the advantages of this solution is privacy and safety. Reportedly, the QR code allows drivers to reach out to each other without the need to reveal any personal information.
“I believe the idea of this QR code is not just about technology, it aims to bring convenience, safety and harmony to the festivities. It is considered safe as no one has to give out their personal information such as contact number and because it can scan the code and contact the driver,” Vishal Jain, co-founder, Roadcast, stated.
