HDFC Mutual Fund has launched the fourth edition of its Nurture Nature campaign. Through this campaign, the company aims to focus on water conservation through lake restoration.
This year’s initiative, titled Generation Restoration, is understood to be an effort for fighting climate change and its impacts. Through a campaign video, HDFC Mutual Fund is believed to showcase the story of Savitri, an elderly woman forced to migrate after her village home was ravaged by drought. From what it is understood, Nurture Nature 4.0 aims to create water sources by contributing towards restoring the water holding capacity of an existing lake.
Under Nurture Nature 4.0 – Generation Restoration, HDFC Mutual Fund is expected to restore water holding capacity of an old lake for every digitally registered SIP during the campaign period. As things stand, from June 5-11, 2024, any new SIPs registered digitally or online of a minimum Rs 2,500 per month for at least three years in eligible equity and gold schemes, the fund house will contribute towards a 5,000-litres water holding capacity in an old lake.
“As part of our ongoing Nurture Nature Campaign, we aim to alleviate the water crisis by restoring an existing lake and providing a sustainable source of water,” Navneet Munot, MD and CEO, HDFC Asset Management Company Ltd, said.
