Vedanta Resources promoted Hindustan Zinc Ltd has posted a net profit increase of 14% at Rs 1,480 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2007, as against to Rs 1,298 crore million for corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Profitability has increased despite a decline in income at Rs 2,128 crore from Rs 2,492 crore during the quarter.
ICL Q2 net up 89%
Following a better price realisation, near total capacity utilisation and efficient marketing strategies, southern cement major India Cements Ltd (ICL) has reported a 89% growth in its net profit for the second quarter ended September 30, 2007 to Rs 222.65 crore as compared to Rs 117.32 crore for the same period last year.
The total income grew more than 50% to Rs 896.09 crore for the quarter under review as against Rs 591.50 crore for the corresponding three month period last fiscal.
Sonata net up 33%
Sonata Software Ltd has reported a 33% increase in its consolidated net profit for the half year ended Sept 2007 to record Rs 25.94 crore on revenue of Rs 685.92 crore. For the Q2 of the financial year 2007-08, the company showed 21% increase in net profit to post Rs 11.93 crore on revenue of Rs 334.06 crore.
Rolta net up by 44.2%
Rolta India Ltd has announced that the company has reported an increase of 44.2% in its net profit to Rs 53.8 crore for the quarter ended Sept 30.2007 as against Rs 37.3 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Tricom net up by 31%
Tricom India has announced that the company has reported an increase of 30.54% in its net profit to Rs 4.19 crore for the quarter ended Sept 30, 2007 against Rs 4.09 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
