Seeking to send the signal that the opinion of the top two leaders in the Bharatiya Janata Party still mattered, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat met senior leader and former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and discussed the ongoing political situation in the BJP.

??RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat met Vajpayee on Friday afternoon. He enquired about his health and discussed the current political situation in the country,?? Vajpayee?s secretary NC Jhingta said in a statement.

Bhagwat?s visit, however, seems to be an afterthought on the part of the RSS leadership, considering that he was in the Capital for three days last week when the succession issue in the BJP was taken up.

Besides addressing a press conference, Bhagwat met the entire BJP leadership including senior leader LK Advani.
