Chinese smartphone maker Letv, on Wednesday launched its two ‘superphones’ – the high end Le Max is priced at Rs 32,999 for the 64GB version and Rs 69,999 for the 128GB Sapphire crystal display version. On the other hand the budget Le 1S smartphone costs Rs 10,999 with 32GB storage.

The devices were launched by Atul Jain, the company’s newly-appointed chief operating officer (smartphone) for the Indian market.

LeTv Le Max, which would be available in two colours — silver and gold — boasts of 4 GB RAM, 6.3-inch 2K screen, 21 megapixel rear camera and a fingerprint sensor, among other specifications.

The phone would be available in 64 GB and 128 GB variants, the company said.

Le 1S, however, has a 3 GB RAM, 13 megapixel rear camera and a new Type-C USB charger. The company claimed the phone could last up to 3.5 hours on a single five-minute charging.

“India is our new destination. We look forward to making our presence felt strongly in the Indian market, a market of youths,” a top company official said.

Both the phones sport a full-metal body.

Earlier this month, the company had showcased in a select preview event, a series of its smart devices, including 3D helmet, Bluetooth headphone and super cycle.

LeEco, which claims affordable devices to be its unique selling point, live streamed the event on Facebook to get an “overwhelming audience response”.
