Vivo V30 series India launch
Vivo V30 Pro is confirmed to come in three colours: blue, green, and black.

Vivo V30 series India launch is set for March 7, Vivo announced today. The line-up will include two models— Vivo V30 and Vivo V30 Pro. The V30 Pro is of special significance because it will be the first Vivo V-series smartphone to come equipped with ZEISS enhancements, previously seen only on Vivo X-series devices like the recently launched Vivo X100 and X100 Pro.

The Vivo V30 Pro is launching in Thailand a bit earlier, on February 28, and so, some of its top specs have already been confirmed. Basis of what’s being teased, the V30 Pro will have a total of four cameras, all with 50-megapixel sensors. On the back, there will be a trio of cameras— wide, ultrawide, and telephoto. The front camera sensor will likely have autofocus, like previous models. The aura lighting LED introduced with the V28-series is getting a refresh in this generation with Vivo opting for a squarish module below the main camera assembly instead of a small circle we saw before. Vivo allowed users to change the temperature of light (warm/cold) in the V29 phones. It will be interesting to see what direction Vivo takes it now.

But an even bigger deal will be the onboarding of ZEISS, a first for a midrange Vivo phone like this (and so, all eyes will be on how it prices the phone in India). We can expect the Vivo V30 Pro to come with both ZEISS tuning as well as ZEISS-style portrait filters, including Biotar, Sonar, Cine-flare, Cinematic, Planar, and Distagon, those we have seen only in the X-series so far.

Elsewhere, the V30 Pro will obviously be slim and light. It will come with a curved display (presumably AMOLED) with a 120Hz display and centrally aligned hole punch cutout. More details are awaited.

The Vivo V30 was launched globally a few days back and we can expect the India-bound model to be based on a similar template. The phone in question bags a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging, and dual 50MP rear and 50MP front camera setup.
