After coming up with a bunch of updates during the WWDC 2024, Apple seems to be planning to launch a thinner iPhone 17 in 2025. Bloomberg reported that the Cupertino-based company is planning to change its overall design structure.
It looks like Apple will be going back to its old ‘slimmer’ design, as reported by Bloomberg. This move to thinner gadgets is expected to come to other products, including the MacBook maybe till next year.
What’s the plan?
Earlier Apple had focused on making ‘slimmer’ devices, be it iPhone or Mac. Mark Gurman in his latest Power On newsletter, explained that Apple might start to bring in ‘slimmer’ devices with the new iPad Pro.
“Apple’s new iPad Pro sets the stage for thinner iPhones and other devices. Over the past several years, Apple appeared to be shifting away from making devices as thin and light as possible,” Gurman explained further.
What more can be expected?
As reported by Bloomberg, Gurman says that “the new iPad Pro, released in April, marked a return to form.” Experts suggest that the new device can be thinner without compromising battery life.
It seems that the new proposed model can be the template for Apple’s future raft of products, such as thinner laptops and watches.
As reported by Bloomberg, “The plan is for the latest iPad Pro to be the beginning of a new class of Apple devices that should be the thinnest and lightest products in their categories across the whole tech industry,” Gurman concluded.
However, as we look forward to the launch of the proposed device, the question which remains is whether Apple will continue to provide the same battery life as now along with a slimmer version or the battery life might see a fall!
