Motorola’s popular Edge series is rumoured to gain a new member – the Edge 50 Neo. While details are scarce, fresh leaks have hinted at phone’s wider range of storage options and an array of colours.
The rumours, courtesy of tipster Sudhanshu and 91mobiles report, suggest the Edge 50 Neo will have two configurations: 8GB of RAM with 256GB of storage and a more powerful variant with 12GB of RAM and a whopping 512GB of storage. This is a significant upgrade from its predecessor, the Edge 40 Neo, which maxed out at 256GB. More storage means more space for apps, games, and media files for users.
Coming to the aesthetics, the Edge 50 Neo is expected to boast a colourful range. Leaks hint at four potential colour options ranging from Gray, Blue, Poinciana and Milk presumably white. Interestingly, some of these colours might be Pantone-certified, aligning with Motorola’s recent trend of incorporating colour accuracy into their phone designs.
The Motorola Edge 50 Neo will succeed the Edge 40 Neo, a mid-range contender launched in mid-2024. It sports a 6.55-inch pOLED display supported by 144Hz refresh rate for gamers and content creators. Under the hood, the MediaTek Dimensity 7030 processor tackles everyday tasks, paired with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM. Photography is handled by a dual rear camera system: a 50MP main sensor and a 13MP ultrawide sensor for expansive shots. On the front, a 32MP selfie camera caters to video calls and social media moments. The Edge 40 Neo keeps you going with a long-lasting 5000mAh battery with 68W fast charging support.
It’s important to remember that these are just leaks, and Motorola has yet to confirm the Edge 50 Neo’s existence. However, they do offer a glimpse into what could be a compelling mid-range option with ample storage and desirable looks.
