According to an insider working at Microsoft, the details of the salaries of professionals has been disclosed. Since it’s the time of the year when employees receive appraisals and promotions you can take a idea from the list for your appraisal. Moreover, On the heels of a massive layoff affecting approximately 9,000 employees across its global offices, a Bloomberg report revealed a majority of compensation details for all kinds of roles, ranging from AI specialists to its management roles.

Despite recent rounds of layoffs affecting thousands of employees, the tech giant from Redmond continues to offer competitive pay to attract and retain key talent, especially those contributing to its AI initiatives. The company had recently let go of thousands of employees from its Xbox division as well as several other departments in a bid to adapt to the changing trends in the industry. The company even closed its Pakistan office as part of the restructuring process.

The disclosed figures are primarily based on visa data from the first quarter of 2025 and represent base pay only. This data does not include additional bonuses and stock awards. The data underscores Microsoft’s strategic focus on AI, with a clear distinction in compensation for AI-related roles.
