As claimed by Paluzzi the upcoming feature can help you to create profile pictures with the help of AI. This feature aims to add an upgraded level of personalisation. According to a screenshot shared, the new feature is available in thread. To get the feature you need click on your profile picture. Then you will have an option which reads ‘Create an AI profile picture’. This will come after you click your profile picture to update it. As of now not much details have been revealed .
However, some rumors suggest that the upcoming feature can use Meta’s in-house large language models (LLMS). This feature could allow either to create a profile picture with text prompts or you could enhance the existing profile picture with AI. Well, this is not the first time that Instagram has added an AI feature. The social media platform already has an AI-powered rewrite tool. This tool helps users to edit and modify the texts sent. For example, you have written a formal email and you can use AI to edit it in a more formal way.
