As big technology companies continue to bring artificial intelligence (AI) in their products, the competitive market continues to see a rise. In line with this the tug of war between Apple and Google is not new.
Apple and Google are known for their friendly nudges to each other during their events. This year was also no different. During the ‘Made for Google’ event Google made fun of Google.
Apple gets trolled by Google
Well, it’s not uncommon for technology companies such as Apple and Google to draw comparisons, especially in big events. Here are five times when Google made fun of Apple:
Google makes fun of iPhone size charts: Google’s Brian Rakowski, claimed that you can make a ‘clear difference’ in the size between Pixel 9 Pro XL and Pixel 9 Pro. Certainly a target towards the difference between the features of iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone Pro Max.
Apple’s plan to bring RCS on iPhones gets trolled: While showcasing the Pixel studio app, Google made comparisons with Apple saying “With RCS coming to iPhones all my friends will get the same high-quality image. No matter what phones they are using,” Alex Schiffhauer, lead of Google’s most popular consumer-facing photo tools, explained further. This was a point towards suggesting that Apple needs to bring RCS soon.
Apple’ iPhone 15 Pro Max’s camera faces trolling: Google drew comparison of iPhone 15 Pro Max to Pixel 9 Pro’s updated panorama mode. While demonstrating Pixel 9 Pro’s upgraded panorama mode it compared the results with another ‘shadowy photo from another smartphone’. This ‘shadowy photo’ needs to be a picture of the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
‘Apple is still learning languages’, says Google: Google claims that Gemini can speak ‘your language,’ while drawing a comparison of ‘Siri’ still learning. The company further explained that Gemini can speak over 45 languages. It also boasts about its availability in more than 200 countries and territories. Basically, it targeted Apple’s upcoming AI features that will be available for English speaking users initially.
Google is safe and tries to go by ‘security that actually matters’: Google claims that Gemini won’t share your data to any third-party. Sameer Samat, the president of the Android ecosystem at Google, explained that Gemini will store sensitive data within Google’s own cloud. This came after Apple announced a partnership with OpenAI to add ChatGPT into Siri. Another pun intended to Apple’s tag ‘privacy that actually matters.
