Months after vanishing from the internet in the wake of a major controversy, the popular YouTube talent show India’s Got Latent, hosted by comedian Samay Raina, has made a subtle reappearance, but there is a twist.

The show, which enjoyed a massive online following for its humorous take on showcasing raw talent, was taken down earlier this year after YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia came under fire for an inappropriate comment directed at a contestant, involving the contestant’s parents. The remark sparked widespread outrage and triggered legal proceedings, with several FIRs filed against Allahbadia, Raina, influencer Apoorva Mukhija, and content creator Ashish Chanchlani.

In the immediate aftermath, Samay Raina pulled down all India’s Got Latent episodes from his YouTube channel and issued a public statement addressing the backlash. “Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all India’s Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time,” Raina wrote at the time. He also confirmed he was cooperating fully with law enforcement authorities.

Now, in an unexpected development, the show has resurfaced, not on Raina’s main channel but on a new one titled India’s Got Latent Clips. This secondary account appears to be steadily uploading segments from both public and members-only episodes, having uploaded a collection of over 500 videos.

The return has not gone unnoticed. Longtime fans of the show have flooded the comments with messages of support, celebrating its return. Comments such as “2025 is the year of comeback,” “Best comeback everrr,” and “Finallyyyyyyyy… comeback ho hi gaya Latent ka” reflect the enthusiasm among its loyal viewership.

Currently, Samay Raina is away on an international comedy tour, performing across Europe, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand. The tour, which kicked off on June 5, is scheduled to wrap up in Sydney on July 20.

For now, the show appears to be finding its way back into the YouTube algorithm, and into the hearts of its audience.
