upGrad, an integrated learning, skilling and workforce development company has appointed Ankur Nyati as the new president of its study abroad segment, effective 6th February 2024. Nyati brings a distinguished career spanning more than two decades, with contributions across manufacturing, retail, e-commerce and education, according to an official release.
Prior to his current appointment, Nyati held leadership positions at brands including ITC, Unilever, Flipkart, Ola, Ola UK, WhiteHat Jr and The Manipal Group. In his new role, Nyati will oversee the Study Abroad operations, utilising his expertise to further elevate upGrad’s presence in both Indian and international markets while expanding its portfolio of study abroad offerings, the release mentioned.
“The next 12 months will witness both – market and portfolio expansion with innovative study-abroad solutions coming into play. Nyati’s deep expertise in scaling operations will support us in driving stronger business outcomes while also ensuring sustainable profitability for the segment,” Mayank Kumar, co-founder and MD, upGrad, said.
With this, the former president, Ankur Dhawan will move on to take up fresh responsibilities within the upGrad ecosystem to further support the company’s growth, as per the release.
