TMC Candidates Full List 2024: All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Sunday announced the party’s candidate list for the 42 Parliamentary Constituencies in West Bengal dropping at least eight sitting MPs and bringing in several new faces such as former cricketers Yusuf Pathan and Kriti Azad.

The party renominated 16 sitting MPs and fielded 12 women.

The list, announced by TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee, includes prominent faces – Abhishek Banerjee contesting from Diamond Harbour and former MP Mahua Moitra fielded from Krishnanagar. Meanwhile, contesting from Berhampore, Yusuf Pathan will face Bengal Congress chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury in the polls.

Actor Shatrughan Sinha has again been nominated for the Asansol seat. Meanwhile, former MP Haji Nurul Islam replaces actor Nusrat Jahan from the Basirhat seat, which includes the conflict-ridden Sandeshkhali village.

During a short 15-minute speech at the rally, the chief minister Banerjee said, “We will contest all 42 seats in West Bengal against the BJP, Left and the Congress. We will contest one seat in Uttar Pradesh in tie-up with the Samajwadi Party (SP). I had a word with Akhilesh (Yadav). We are an opposition party in Meghalaya. We will contest there, and in Assam as well.”
