AIIMS reporting 100 cases of acute conjunctivitis every day in Delhi: Doctors
Hospitals in Delhi are witnessing a surge in cases of eye infection or acute conjunctivitis, with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences reporting approximately 100 cases per day, doctors at the premier hospital said. (PTI)
Himachal Pradesh flood gets World Bank support
The World Bank in collaboration with the Global Facility for Disaster Reduction and Recovery (GFDRR) provides support to Himachal Pradesh in different sectors such as roads, power, water supply, housing, public buildings, irrigation, agriculture, horticulture, livestock, ecological services that has been damaged due to flood in the state as per the statement issued on Friday by the World Bank.
Total 27 cases of monkeypox in India reported
The government informed the total tally of monkeypox cases in India where 12 are from Kerala and 15 from Delhi, total 27 cases have been registered, answered in a written response to a question in the Lok Sabha by Minister of State for Health S P Singh Baghel on Friday.

Security forces recover nearly 9 kg narcotics along LoC in J-K’s Rajouri
Security forces on Friday recovered nearly nine kilograms of narcotics along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, officials said. The Army, along with the police and the BSF, launched a massive search operation in the Jhangar area of Nowshera sub-division near the LoC following specific intelligence information, Senior Superintendent of Police, Rajouri, Amritpal Singh said. Women found dead near Aurobindo college, Delhi
A dead body of a young college going woman was found in a park in Malviya Nagar of south Delhi along with an iron rod nearby. As per the police reports, the women came to the park with a boy. She was found with an external injury mark on her head, believed to be done by the boy.

Russia says a Ukrainian drone was shot down outside Moscow
\A Ukrainian drone was shot down early on Friday outside Moscow, Russia’s defence ministry said. It was the third drone strike or attempt on the capital region this month. The ministry said there were no injuries or damage in the early morning incident. It did not give details about where the drone was shot down, but said it took place in the Moscow Oblast, a region that surrounds but does not include the city itself. The shootdown adds to concern about Moscow’s vulnerability to attack as the war drags into its 18th month. (AP)
AMD to invest $400 million in India in 5 years
AMD on Friday announced an investment of USD 400 million in India over five years, and said the company will be a strong partner in building India’s semiconductor ecosystem. The company will open a new research and development campus in Bengaluru, which will be its largest such facility in the world. “AMD will invest USD 400 million in India in 5 years,” Mark Papermaster, EVP and CTO of AMD, said addressing SemiconIndia 2023.
