Bacardi India Private Limited, a private spirits company has appointed Monojit Mukherjee as director of external affairs for India and neighbouring countries. Reportedly, Mukherjee, who has a career of 25 years, brings experience in navigating regulatory landscapes and fostering strategic partnerships across central and state governments and industry bodies. “We are pleased to welcome Monojit Mukherjee to the Bacardi leadership team. As per the report, Mukherjee will lead the company’s external affairs strategy, leading engagement with local, state governments and central government. It is claimed that Mukherjee has a strong compliance understanding of regulatory regimes at both central and state levels. He has also worked with associations like ISWAI, SWA, DISCUS, Spirits Europe, and more. “I am thrilled to join Bacardi’s accomplished leadership team as we embark on a journey of historic growth. Reportedly, Mukherjee served as chief corporate affairs officer at United Breweries Limited(Heineken India) before joining this company. He also served at companies like Pernod Ricard India, JSW Steel Limited, and GMR Group previously.
