Cryptocurrency and blockchain platform CIFDAQ Group has appointed two new senior executives as it prepares to scale operations and increase its footprint in India. The company has named Ankur Sharma as its Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Smrita Singh as the Group Chief Brand and Communications Officer (CBCO).
Sharma brings over two decades of experience in financial leadership and transformation roles. Most recently, he served as Group CFO at Imagine Marketing Ltd. (boAt), where he oversaw a significant period of revenue growth and operational restructuring. His earlier stints include senior positions at Cravatex Brands, AGS Group, and Reliance Capital.
“CIFDAQ Group is at the cutting edge of blockchain and digital finance, and I’m thrilled to be given the opportunity to support its acceleration towards the next chapter. With a strong foundation in place, my focus will be on refining our financial strategy to unlock new growth opportunities, streamline operations, and ensure that we’re well-positioned to deliver long-term value to both our users and investors,” Ankur Sharma, Group CFO, CIFDAQ Group, said.
In his new role at CIFDAQ, Sharma will oversee the company’s financial strategy and investor engagement, and help steer the organisation through its next phase of growth. He is expected to focus on capital management and operational efficiency in a sector often marked by volatility and rapid change.
Meanwhile, Singh joins the company after nearly two decades in brand strategy and corporate communications. She was previously Vice President of Policy Communications at Dream Sports, the parent company of fantasy sports platform Dream11. Her experience also spans roles at FedEx, Jet Airways, and KOOH Sports. At CIFDAQ, Singh will be responsible for shaping the company’s public positioning, with a particular focus on stakeholder communication in India’s complex and evolving regulatory environment. Her remit includes brand building, public affairs, and strategic messaging.
“Joining CIFDAQ at this pivotal moment is an exciting opportunity and a challenge. As we redefine the future of blockchain and financial technology, my focus is on amplifying our brand voice and reinforcing our values—transparency, trust, compliance, and innovation—to connect meaningfully with both Indian and global communities,” Smrita Singh Chandra, Group CBCO, CIFDAQ Group, said.
