Everybody loves a New Year bash. They say, Its the show you gotta be a part of. So whether or not you have a place like Times Square, where thousands wait for the ball with baited breath to drop to welcome the New Year, everyone has their own choice of places for letting the hair down with a boogie-boogie. So no matter where the party is, everyone is waiting for it. And yes, they have some resolutions, too.

Ask Electrolux CEO Anirudh Dhoot and he quips: I have plans to go with my family to the Taj Village in Goa. 2007 was also good for the country. Income for middle and upper middle class has substantially grown and the economy is showing positive growth. Fashion designer Manish Arora shares the choice of place with DhootGoa. Radico Khaitan MD Abhishek Khaitan is excited about 2008 as he eyes a foothold in the premium spaces while his companys focus has been on mass brands.

The year 2007 has given yet another band of celebrities to do a jhoom barabar jhoom. With the musical success of Jhoom..., Hey Baby, Johnny Gaddaar and Taare Zameen Par, the trio of Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan and Loy have enough good compositions to shake a leg with. Mahadevan says he plans to go to a hill station with the cast and crew of Taare Zameen Par. I pray to be able to compose better music and reach out to the masses. Joins Ehsaan, I will be home with my family. There are no fixed targets but I just want to keep doing good work.

Its not just corporate guys and Bollywood bigwigs, sportsmen, too, take time out of their busy schedule to celebrate. Cricketer Gautam Gambhir feels 2007 was a great year. His target is to give his best in the coming year.

Says Olympic medallist in shooting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, In all my endeavors I aspire to be my best. The year 2008 only re-establishes it. Renowned golfer Jeev Milkha Singh will be home in Chandigarh on the New Year after a long period. Its surely special, isnt it
