Indian exporters could receive refunds of $7-8 billion as the US CBP starts settling claims for reciprocal and penal tariffs on Indian goods. The total amount of tariffs is around $12 billion, with the textile and apparel sector being the largest contributor. Refunds will be given to importers with a US bank account, including intermediates who paid the tariffs.
