In a video that quickly went viral on social media, an NBC reporter was seen getting attacked by children at the ISIS camp in Syria. The children reportedly belonged to the families of ISIS terrorist group. The NBC journalist in the video is seen running to his helicopter as the kids gather around and start to throw stones at him. According to reports, the video is from early January and was released by NBC News on Friday.
In another video of the same incident rom Syria, the reporter was seen giving a real-time account of the gestures that the children were making at him, reportedly of killing him. “One of them just came up to me and made a gesture like this (gesturing slitting of throat), and well we all know what that means,” the reporter said in the video as children were seen running and gathering around him from all sides.
The children were also seen showing their index fingers to the camera. This was an old sign for the ISIS, the reporter explained in the video. “One meaning one god, one religion, one faith, one leader. A symbol of unity and power,” the reporter explained further.
The camera went on to show the reporter doing a walkthrough and explaining that the kids were shouting at him and saying things like, “One day I hope to kill you. One day I want to slit your throat.” The reporter said that all the kids were making very threatening gestures. “So this is the culture that they are being brought up in,” he said, calling it the “worst kind of ISIS mentality.”
The crew was reporting form a camp in Syria which was housing the families of ISIS fighters.
