Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, is the son of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his third wife Fahdah bint Falāḥ ibn Sulṭān. He is also the chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs and the chairman of the Council of Political and Security Affairs.

Mohammed bin Salman had a keen interest in politics from a young age. He inculcated communication skills while shadowing his father at every official gathering. His mother is the granddaughter of Rakan bin Hithlain and the great-granddaughter of Dhaydan bin Hithlain, who were heads of the Al Ajman tribe. He is the eldest among his mother’s six children and is the eighth child and seventh son of his father.
