People in Bharatpur celebrate Braj Holi festival with fervour.

The two- day Braj Holi Festival organized by the Department of Tourism (DOT), Government of Rajasthan and the District Administration was celebrated with lot of fervor and zest. The event was held at Bharatpur, Deeg and Kaman to celebrate holi.

The district administration conducted a nature walk for children, Bird Fair, Photography Exhibition and a Seminar at the Keoladeo National Park. The festival started with ‘Nature Walk for Children’, The Photographic Exhibition was open to visitors for both the days. Rajasthani folk artists performed at the Udyog Mela, Gramin Haat in the evening. Singer Anuradha Paudwal with some of her heartwarming songs like ‘Ajeeb Dastan’, ‘Dil hai ki manta nahi’ and many more enthralled the audience at a mega evening concert, organized at the MSJ College Ground in Bharatpur.

On March 1, various rural sport competitions like kabaddi, cricket match, Indian wrestling and tug of war were organized at Lohagarh Stadium. Similarly, at Deeg, Rajasthani folk artists performed during the day with thespray of water from the fountains and the jets creates a monsoon-like ambiance. The rhythm of folk songs fills the atmosphere with the fragrance of romance. Everyone present there, young or old, irrespective of their caste or creed participate were drown in its spirit. The entire place was painted in brilliant colors and no one was pass from being splashed with colors. Later, the well known ‘Shree Krishna Dance Ballet’ was performed by the Delhi-based Shree Ram Kala Kendra.

At Kaman, various Holi festivals like Gulal Holi, Doodh-Dahi Holi, Laddu Holi, Phoolon ki Holi, Latthmar Holi were organised at Gokul Chandramaji temple, Madan Mohanji Temple, Radha Vallabhji, while Rajasthani folk artists performed at different bazaars throughout the day. At Kot Upar Stadium, Kaman, artists performed at Maharaas which was the centre of attraction for the audience.

The Brij Holi Festival was celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm and the entire region looks magnificent with the beauty of dashes of colours in to the air.
