Elon Musk-owned social media platform X is experiencing its third outage in a single day, with thousands of users worldwide reporting difficulties logging in and accessing the site.

According to Downdetector, the first disruption was brief, but the second outage saw over 40,000 reports from users unable to load the website. The issue was quickly resolved, only for a third spike in complaints to emerge later in the day.

In India, X went down around 3:00 PM, with nearly 2,200 reports of disruptions, primarily affecting the app and website. A second surge occurred around 7:30 PM, with 1,500 more complaints. Users attempting to access the platform encountered an error message stating, “Something went wrong, try reloading”. At the time of writing this report, X still remains inaccessible for several users.

The outage has also affected the United States, where more than 22,000 users reported issues. Downdetector data suggests 60% of the errors stem from the app, 35% from the website and 5% from server connections. In the US, 58% of affected users cited problems with the app, while 31% faced issues with the website.

Despite the widespread disruptions, X has yet to issue an official statement addressing the repeated outages. The recurring downtime has left users frustrated. As of now, services remain inconsistent, with users awaiting updates on when full functionality will be restored.
