Xiaomi Redmi 13C Launch in India
Redmi 13C series

Redmi 13C series has officially arrived in India today, per schedule. The lineup boots two phones, Redmi 13C 5G and Redmi 13C 4G, and as you can probably tell already, one is 5G ready right out of the gate while the other is 4G-only and so, it’s a bit more affordable, too. Otherwise, the two are quite identical. While the Redmi 13C 4G starts at Rs 8,999, the Redmi 13C 5G price in India starts at Rs 10,999.

Redmi 13C series India price, availability

The Redmi 13C 5G comes in a choice of 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB for Rs 10,999, Rs 12,499 and Rs 14,499 respectively. General availability is pegged for December 16 (from 12noon) across Xiaomi online, retail and Amazon India. Existing Xiaomi users will be eligible for Rs 1,000 exchange bonus on buying the Redmi 13C 5G, the company notes in a press release.

The Redmi 13C 4G also comes in a choice of 4GB/128GB, 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB for Rs 8,999, Rs 9,999 and Rs 11,499 respectively. General availability is pegged for December 12 (from 12noon).

Both phones will be sold across Xiaomi online, retail and Amazon India.

Redmi 13C series full specs, top features

The Redmi 13C 5G has the MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus under the hood and a single 50-megapixel camera on the back, also a 5-megapixel camera for selfies. The Redmi 13C 4G on the other hand comes with the Helio G85 processor and has a 50-megapixel dual camera setup plus a 5MP front camera. The 5G model uses faster UFS2.2 storage even as the 4G gets eMMC5.1.

The design, or more precisely, the back panel look is a bit different on the two phones even if the overall template remains constant— flat chassis with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and waterdrop-style notch on the front. The 5G model comes in three colours including black, silver and green. The 4G Redmi 13C comes in only two— black and green. Both phones have some degree of splash resistance, Xiaomi says.

Rest of the hardware is standard across both the models and so you get a 6.74-inch 720p IPS LCD display with 90Hz refresh rate and unspecified Corning Gorilla Glass protection, MIUI 14 based on Android 13, 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging though for some curious reason, Xiaomi is bundling a 10W charger with these phones (when previously 22.5W was the standard). Elsewhere, both phones get a 3.5mm audio jack and dedicated storage expansion slot.
