Indian government has taken a major step toward expanding digital knowledge across the country with the launch of “YUVA AI for ALL,” a free online course designed to teach the basics of Artificial Intelligence. This course is developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology under the IndiaAI Mission. Basically the programme aims to make AI learning simple, accessible, and friendly for everyone.
Beginner-Friendly Learning Experience
The course is structured into six short modules that can be completed in roughly 4.5 hours. Each module breaks down AI concepts into easy explanations, supported by everyday examples that reflect common situations in India.
According to the course details the learners are introduced to how AI works, where it is used, and how it influences daily life from smartphones to online services. A strong focus is placed on understanding safe and responsible AI use, preparing participants to engage with digital tools thoughtfully and ethically.
Open to All Learners!
Although the initiative focuses on students and young professionals, it is open to anyone interested in learning about AI. The short duration and beginner-friendly format make it suitable even for individuals with no prior technical background. Whether someone is exploring career opportunities or simply curious about the technology shaping modern life, the course offers an easy entry point.
Easy Access and Government Certification?
The programme is available on major government-backed learning platforms such as FutureSkills Prime and iGOT Karmayogi, along with other educational portals. After completing all modules and assessments, participants receive an official government certificate, giving them a useful credential that can be added to academic portfolios.
National AI Awareness initiative
One of the government’s main goals is to help 1 crore learners gain foundational AI skills. By offering the course free of cost, the initiative aims to reduce the digital divide and ensure that people in different regions and backgrounds can benefit from emerging technologies.
Educational institutions across the country are also being encouraged to integrate the course into their programmes, enabling more students to build essential digital skills early in their academic journey.
