Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are releasing in two weeks, on Oct 4. While we had just enough leaks of the big boys—the specifications, the renders, and everything. The budget-and-mini variant, Pixel 8A is here, making rounds on the internet.
Tipster Abhishek Yadav posted an image of X, formerly Twitter, which is said to be the Pixel 8A. All we see is a blue-shaded phone with curved edges, opposing the present sharp edges, and a punch-hole on the front of screen. There is a dual-camera setup along with a flash placed on a band-like design on the rear side.

It shows that it could be Pixel 8, but it’s too early to make assumptions. Google typically releases one Pixel and one Pro every year and the Pixel A comes the following year. In this case, suppose Pixel 8 and Pro release on Oct 4. The Pixel 8A is sometime expected in Q2 2024.
What to expect from Google Pixel 8a?
Most likely, it will be an upgrade of Pixel 7a—it will possibly house a Tensor G3 chipset. There could be minor to nearly major improvements in the lens. Whether the phone will continue with a 90Hz display or make a shift to 120Hz remains a doubt, because Apple continued the tradition of 60Hz to its base iPhones and it may likely have an impact on Pixel budget phones.
