Forget iPhone 15, Apple’s 2024 lineup is looking super: From big-screen iPhone 16 to redesigned Watch X and more

Mark Gurman’s latest newsletter reveals that Apple’s upcoming “Pro” lineup, the iPhone 16 Pro series, will boast larger displays, alongside news of an OLED-equipped iPad Pro, the introduction of M3-powered Mac models in 2024, and an eagerly anticipated Apple Watch Series X with a revamped design and potential new features.

Apple’s “Pro” lineup—the iPhone 16 Pro series—is slated to feature larger displays, notes Mark Gurman in his latest newsletter. Moreover, apart from the update to the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, what’s next is an iPad Pro with an OLED display, M3-powered Mac Models, and Apple Watch special edition Series X with updated design and new features. 

Apple just wrapped up its Sept. 12 “Wonderlust” fall keynote event, so iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max—with larger displays—are expected about a year from now. Gurman also hints at a new titanium chassis. Apple may sweeten its 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro with OLED displays.

Apple recently unveiled its inaugural 3nm chip, A17 Pro, to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. However, the shift to 3nm chips for the Mac lineup is due this year. According to Gurman, the upcoming M3 chip may follow in the footsteps of the 5nm M2 chip, and debut in new MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, and Mac models.

Apple Watch Series X is expected to undergo a complete overhaul with an upgraded design is expected. There’s wide speculation about microLED technology incorporated in Apple Watch Series X. While no specific health features are rumoured, Apple may unveil advancements like blood pressure monitoring by 2025, with blood glucose monitoring expected later in the decade.
