Milind Soman, model and celebrated Bollywood actor, turns 60 in November. But, even today, he doesn’t look a day older than his charm. Known for his fitness and effortless style, Soman’s youthful glow is not limited to workouts and weights. In a recent media interaction, the actor opened up about his secret behind his health, a food philosophy he follows to the T.

It turns out it is not just heavy weight fuelling those biceps. Affirming the importance the breakfast, Soman reiterated that his breakfast habits govern his daily routine. Simplicity and practicality make his routine easy to follow. Here’s what Milind Soman’s breakfast spread looks like.

Start day with fruits

A typical Indian breakfast is usually loaded with carbohydrates and fats, be it a homemade paratha or the famous roadside poha. The Bollywood actor usually starts his day with fruits. And not just a slice, he prefers whole fruits like papayas, watermelons, and even mangoes.

“I eat a whole papaya, or maybe two if they’re small. I eat half a watermelon because watermelons are big. I eat whatever seasonal fruit there is. Suppose it’s mango season, then I have five or six mangoes,” he revealed in the PinkVilla interview. Avoid the stress of counting your calories. Soman prefers measuring his meals by satisfaction.

It is based on trusting your body’s hunger cues and stopping when your hunger resides. Along with fruits, he also eats muesli, dry fruits, and cereal at times. Avoiding processed foods remains a priority, too.

Dal Rice for the win

Amid the trending crash diets and celebrities promoting fads like ‘OMAD [one meal a day]‘, Milind Soman’s meals focus on listening to your body. In his words, “Dinner is the same. I try to stay away from things that are heavy to digest, like non-vegetarian food.”

The actor revealed that a plate of dal, rice, and vegetables is his go-to meal for a wholesome dinner. In fact, the supermodel also shared a clip of his mother and him skipping rope. His 86-year-old mother did not seem fazed, and netizens were impressed by the family fitness routine. In the post, he revealed that she also practices yoga and lauded her for her dedication. Age is just a number in the Soman household, it seems.
