Kingdom Box Office Collection: The much-awaited action thriller starring South star Vijay Deverakonda, Kingdom has released in theatres. With high anticipation, the film is set to be a blockbuster Telugu opener for the star cast. However, with a mid-week release, the film has just crossed the Rs 5 crore mark in North America box office collection on its opening day.

Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom box office collection in India, as per Sacnilk reports, has crossed Rs 15 crore on its first day. Gowtam Tinnanuri’s spy film has received high praise from the audience who opted for a mid-week show. But the storyline and performances fell short of any praiseworthy impact.

Kingdom occupancy rates

Dominated by Tamil and Telugu audiences, Kingdom had the highest occupancy rates in Warangal with over 85% even on a weekday. Followed by Vishakhapatnam, the 133 shows on the big screen has a nearly housefull occupancy at 83%. A high-trend was noted in Hyderabad, Mahbubnagar and Kakinada with more than 70% seats going filled. The overwhelming response is a testament to Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom’s mass appeal.

Kingdom movie reviews

Vijay Deverakonda’s screen presence has been praised by audiences. However, the score and background track was appreciated more. A user on IMDb left the review, “I especially appreciate Sathya Dev for his role, his role left a deep impact in the movie. And Bhagya fills the gap…”

Other viewers found that Kingdom had a “disjointed narrative,” which was carried by Deverakonda. “Vijay Deverakonda is undoubtedly the film’s greatest asset. He carries the movie with his intense screen presence and delivers a compelling performance that stands out,” read a review on the popular rating website.

The visuals and background score impressed viewers, but unfortunately lost their lustre due to the lack of a gripping plot.
