Victoria Jones cause of death: Hollywood actor Tommy Lee Jones lost his daughter, Victoria Jones, on the night of New Year’s Eve. Reportedly found unresponsive in the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco, the authorities reached her room just ahead of 3 AM (local time). According to a recent report from People, the 911 emergency call recording has come to light. Jones, who was 34, was also seen receiving CPR, as revealed by the CAD records.
While the family has not issued a formal statement, the San Francisco Fire Department confirmed that ‘an unnamed adult female was found dead’ at the location. They had ruled out the possibility of foul play. However, the 911 dispatch audio signalled a possible code 3, used during the case of an overdose.
Victoria Jones: Cause of death
As per the recording, reported People, the incident was labelled ‘code 3 for the overdose, colour change.’ As per procedure, in an overdose case, ‘colour change’ refers to cyanosis. This means that there are low oxygen levels in the blood, pointing towards heart of lung issues, as per the Cleveland Clinic. This, in turn, causes a blue or purple discolouration of skin, lips, and nails.
Reporting on the incident, Page Six quoted the Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) report, which shared the onlookers’ account. Several bystanders noted that Tommy Lee Jones’ late daughter was being given CPR. After being unresponsive, her case was handed over to the San Francisco Police Department and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for further investigation.
Victoria Jones was discovered at the historic Fairmont Hotel located in San Francisco atop Nob Hill. While the official cause of death has not been released, the investigation is still ongoing.
Victoria Jones’ troubled past
However, this incident comes after Victoria Jones, in April 2025, was taken into custody in California’s Napa County and charged with three misdemeanours. During her legal trouble, she pleaded not guilty.
Months later, in June, Jones was detained again in Napa County, as per People. She was charged with misdemeanour domestic battery, following which she pleaded not guilty in a hearing in July 2025.
