Sky Force Box Office Collection Day 5: Sky Force, starring Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya, continues its box office journey, navigating ups and downs since its release on January 24, 2025. The film, which recounts India’s first airstrike during the 1965 Indo-Pak war, features Sara Ali Khan and Nimrat Kaur in pivotal roles and has completed five days in theaters.
Co-produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, the aerial actioner had an impressive opening weekend, grossing Rs 68.5 crore, thanks in part to Republic Day festivities and promotional offers. However, the film’s momentum slowed significantly on its first Monday, recording a 55% drop in collections with Rs 6 crore on Day 4, down from Rs 26.50 crore on Day 3.
As the film enters its fifth day, it aims to maintain stability and recover from Monday’s decline. Directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Anil Kapur, Sky Force dramatizes India’s retaliatory strike on Pakistan’s Sargodha airbase, garnering positive word-of-mouth for its gripping aerial sequences and patriotic narrative.
Despite favorable reviews, the film faces tough competition from the Hindi versions of Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama and Daaku Maharaaj. The real challenge, however, is expected next weekend with the release of Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde’s Deva on January 31.
With Sky Force positioned as a patriotic action spectacle, its performance in the coming days will determine whether it cements itself as a box office hit or falls short of expectations. The coming week will be crucial in deciding the film’s long-term success.
