JEE Main 2025 Exam Dates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the online registration for the January 2025 Session 1 of the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main on its official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in.
As per the official announcement, registration for JEE Main 2025 Session 1 starts today, October 28, and will remain open until 9 PM on November 22, 2024. Candidates can complete their fee payments until 11:50 PM on the same day. The detailed schedule is provided below.

JEE Main 2025 Session 1: Exam Dates Released
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the exam dates for the JEE Main 2025, along with an official notice. According to the schedule, the JEE Main 2025 exams are set to be conducted from January 22 to January 31, 2025. Admit cards will be accessible three days prior to the exam start date, and candidates can download them by logging in with their registration credentials and date of birth.
The exam will be offered in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
JEE Main 2025 Session 1: Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for JEE Main 2025, candidates must have completed or be in their Class 12 examination year with subjects including Physics, Mathematics, and an additional subject such as Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or a Technical Vocational course.
General category candidates typically need a minimum of 75% in their Class 12 exams, while SC/ST students are often eligible with around 65%, though specific criteria may differ by institution. Candidates can attempt JEE Main over three consecutive years without any upper age restriction.
The JEE Main scores will be used for admission to engineering and architecture programs at National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other recognized institutions, and will also act as a qualifying step for JEE Advanced 2025, necessary for IIT admissions.
JEE Main 2025 Session 1: Exam Pattern Details
The NTA’s notice also details the exam pattern and timings for both shifts. In Paper 1 and Part I of Paper 2, Section A consists of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs), while Section B includes questions requiring numerical answers. Negative marking will apply to incorrect responses in both sections.
