The Consortium of National Law Universities has issued the notification for CLAT 2025, the Common Law Admission Test. The application process will commence on July 15 and will conclude on October 15 at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. 

The entrance test is scheduled for December 1, from 2 to 4 pm (till 4:40 pm for PwD candidates), as per the consortium’s announcement. CLAT is a national-level entrance test conducted for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs offered by 24 national law universities across India.

CLAT 2025 eligibility criteria

  • For Undergraduate (UG): Candidates must have secured at least 45% marks in Class 12 or its equivalent. SC, ST, and PwD candidates require a minimum of 40% marks. Those appearing in the Class 12 exam in March/April 2025 are also eligible.
  • For Postgraduate (PG): Applicants need an LLB degree or its equivalent with at least 50% marks. SC, ST, and PwD candidates must have a minimum of 45% marks. Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in April/May 2025 can also apply.

  • SC/ST/PwD/BPL candidates: Rs 3,500
