School of Politics, an online training institute claims to offer comprehensive political education to political enthusiasts and individuals actively involved in politics. The institute claims to offer a range of five distinctive courses which includes two flagship programmes. The duration of these flagship programmes spans over a period of 75-125 hours while the other three crash courses have a duration of 15-25 hours respectively, Abhimanyu Bharti, founder, the School of Politics, told FE Education. “These courses are designed for individuals with expertise in politics or a keen interest in the subject. We aim to inform participants about challenges in politics and guide them in initiating their political journey for meaningful discourse. Additionally, we offer one-on-one practical sessions to ensure hands-on learning, as these skills are best acquired through direct experience. Our programme consists of multiple sessions to provide comprehensive coverage,” he said.
Moreover, the school plans to expand into six more languages within the next six months to one year, alongside its plan to establish physical classrooms. Additionally, the institution asserts its readiness to leverage state-of-the-art technology to its fullest potential within the field of politics. “We’re dedicated to enhancing precision and specificity in our approach. AI has gained significant attention, even within the sphere of politics. Despite politics often being a domain where technology lags behind, we are actively implementing AI to transform and educate, ensuring its integration in this field as well,” he said.
The school claims that the fee structure of its crash course ranges between Rs 2,000-5,000 while the flagship programmes have a fee of Rs 30,000-50,000. According to the school, its ‘Political Campaigns and Electoral Strategy’ programme which has a duration of 125 hours is the most preferable course among learners.
The school asserts that all its educators possess practical experience in managing large-scale capital. These educators come from diverse backgrounds, including engineering, psychology, and media, among others. It further claims that all educators affiliated with the School of Politics have a minimum of five years of work experience. “The founders and trainers are subject matter experts with extensive practical experience in high-impact elections, spanning several years. All of our courses and training programmes are centred around hands-on, implementation-based learning, prioritising real-world application over purely academic content,” Bharti said.
Interestingly, the School of Politics claims to have a substantial enrollment of ministers from various states, Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs), Members of Parliament (MPs) besides Zila Parishad members in their courses. It claims that the numerous state presidents from political parties such as the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) and Indian National Congress (INC) as well as the leaders of various national political parties, hold a significant share in enrollment. “Initially, we assumed that our target audience would consist of individuals at a basic level of politics seeking to enhance their knowledge. However, upon entering the market, we were surprised to discover a significant number of ministers from various states enrolling in the courses. Additionally, people who are in the early stages of their political careers and look to our programmes for inspiration constitute another significant segment of our audience,” Bharti explained.
